What Is an American Bikini Wax?

An American bikini wax is a style of hair removal that involves removing any hair “down there” that might be seen if you were wearing a bikini-style swimsuit. That usually includes hair on the inner upper thighs and near the panty line, as well as any stragglers we might find on top. We use our signature waxing style to remove the hair at the root, which lasts much longer than shaving. You can expect to wait about 4-6 weeks before coming in for another wax.

Brazilian Wax vs. American Bikini Wax

An American bikini wax is a quick service that’s great for tidying up the bikini area before a vacation. While an American bikini wax doesn’t remove all of the hair, it does make the bikini line look much neater by cleaning up the edges.

A Brazilian wax, on the other hand, removes all hair from the pubic area, including “between the cheeks.” Although a Brazilian wax does take longer, you’ll be feeling fresh for three to four weeks.
